OKLAHOMA CITY – We’ve closed the books on another busy stretch at the Capitol, and the pace hasn’t slowed one bit. We’ve now hit the deadline for House bills and House joint resolutions to clear policy committees and appropriations subcommittees. That phase of the process is in the rearview mirror, and our attention is turning to oversight committees and full debate on the House floor.
Here’s a snapshot of where things stand: 126 measures have advanced out of subcommittees, and 373 have cleared policy committees. Another 21 have been heard in oversight, and 22 have moved through standing committees. On the House floor, we’ve passed two Senate bills, 12 House bills, one House Concurrent Resolution and four House Resolutions. Step by step, the work is moving forward.
We also received the official revenue certification that sets the guardrails for next year’s state budget. The State Board of Equalization authorized nearly $12.2 billion for Fiscal Year 2027, which begins July 1. While that total is slightly below last year’s appropriation, recurring revenue is trending upward, increasing from about $10.6 billion to nearly $11.1 billion. That steady growth matters. It gives us the opportunity to be responsible, protect core services and continue building on the fiscal stability Oklahoma has worked hard to achieve.
