Earlier today, Ponca City Police officers responded to the 1100 block of North 14th St to a reported burglary. The burglary is believed to be part of a continuing argument between multiple individuals that began the previous evening.
One individual was injured when they were assaulted during the burglary and that person was taken to the hospital for treatment.
PCPD say they have seen multiple social media comments stating there were shots fired and multiple people were injured as a result of those gun shots.
Ponca City Police say these comments are simply untrue. No one was shot, no one was shot at, no firearms were used during this incident and no one is deceased as a result of what happened.
