An Oklahoman has been named the national president of Future Farmers of America, becoming the ninth national president hailing from the Sooner State, according to a news release issued by Oklahoma CareerTech.

The release says Trey Myers of the Perkins-Tryon FFA chapter was elected 2025-26 National FFA president, becoming Oklahoma’s 24th national officer and ninth national president.

Trevor Lucas, Oklahoma FFA executive secretary with Oklahoma CareerTech, said no other state has produced more National FFA presidents.

“Oklahoma FFA is proud of the outstanding students and chapters who earned the honor of representing our state at the national level,” Lucas said. “For a state small in population to remain among the most competitive in the nation reflects the exceptional dedication of our members and advisers.”

Additionally, Ryder Klaassen of the Hydro-Eakly FFA chapter was named Oklahoma’s 11th American Star Farmer, while the Stillwater FFA chapter earned the National Premier Chapter award in Strengthening Agriculture.
