Enjoy live music and get ready to howl at the moon with Enid-based Dually Noted for the season opener Full Moon Concert on Sunday, May 31 in Tonkawa Centennial Park, 301 East Grand, Tonkawa, OK. The seven-member band features Cathy Nulph and Kristi Browne, lead vocalist; Kegan Tuohy, trumpet and vocal; Brandon Haynes, keyboard and vocal; Sean Gallagher, guitar and vocal; Dave Roberts, bass guitar and vocal; and Ghent Hopkins, drums and vocal.
Dually Noted covers 1970-80 classic songs and the band was started by Nulph and Brown who have been singing their whole lives. Browne is also a former Miss Northern Oklahoma College and NOC Roustabout.
The family-friendly outdoor concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Heart in the Park Pavilion and is free to all. Since bench seating in the park is limited, the public is invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Pets on leashes are welcome and restroom facilities are located across the street in the Santa Fe Depot. Throughout the evening, concert goers may walk the world’s only heart-shaped labyrinth, and the evening concludes with the traditional group howl at the full moon!
Tonkawa’s free Full Moon summer concerts began in 2015 and are sponsored by the North Central Oklahoma Arts Council and Heart in the Park Committee of the Tonkawa Historical Society. Next month’s concert is scheduled for Monday, June 29.
