Ponca City Now - August 16, 2019 4:19 pm

Ponca City Public Schools support personnel were celebrated and recognized at their annual Back-to-School Assembly held this week in the new Concert Hall.

The assembly followed the same agenda as the certified personnel assembly held on Aug. 9. All support employees were welcomed with fanfare from the Po-Hi Steppers, cheerleaders, band, color guard and Wildcat football players.

Curtis Layton, PCPS Executive Director of Human Resources, recognized employees for their years of service, presenting them with service pins in increments of five years. Employees who had 25-40 years were asked to come on stage to be recognized.

Cheryl Sitterly, Child Nutrition Secretary, was the support employee who has been with the district the longest with 38 years of service. Layton presented her a bouquet of flowers.
