Ponca City stores is spreading the power of pink

The Bag Lady is inspired by fashion, which is why it’s hosting the annual Pink Party tonight. The Pink Party helps raise money for the Healthy woman, who provides free mammograms to woman who can’t afford them.

Terron Liles, Owner of the Bag Lady said this idea bloomed from a special edition bracelet.

"Brighten one of our jewelry companies actually does a bracelet where a percentage of that goes toward the Susan G. Komen foundation," Liles said. "We piggy backed on that, and wanted to do something locally because we really believe in our community. This was a way we could give to the Susan G. Komen, as well as our local charity."

This is the third year they’ve partnered with the Healthy Woman, and all you have to do to help is shop.

“The special deal that day is that a proportion of your sale, what you bought is going to help under privileged ladies and to help save lives in our community,” Liles said."

The party is tonight from 6 to 8, with a fashion show at 7. Liles said if you want a seat for the show you will have to get there early, otherwise there is plenty of standing room.
