Police seize drugs, money from same house in 50 days

For the second time in 50 days, the Special Projects Unit of the Ponca City Police Department made drug arrests and seizures from the same home.

Just after 5 a.m. today, a search warrant was executed at 1203 South Ninth Street.

SPU officers and tactical team members arrested three and seized $660 in cash and nearly $2,000 in street value of marijuana, cocaine and controlled prescription medication packaged for sale within 2,000 feet of a park, police spokeswoman Sherry Bowers said.

Emerilla N Starnes, 30, who was also arrested in March, was taken into custody along with two residents of Oklahoma City.

Luther T Thompson, 26, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled dangerous prescription medication with intent to distribute, possession of proceeds from the sale of drugs and possession of drug equipment.

Chakara D Redd, 26, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled dangerous prescription medication with intent to distribute.

Starnes is charged with possession of a controlled substance after former conviction and maintaining a house where drugs are sold. Her home was last searched and she was arrested March 12. She was currently out on bond.
