More details have appeared following a shooting that happened after 10 p.m. last Wednesday in a trailer park east of Stillwater. 34-year-old Joseph Vasquez of Pawnee has been charged in the Payne County District Court with one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Stillwater police say that a woman at the scene had bloody pants and described that Vasquez was demanding money for the trailer and after a heated argument, Vasquez went to his car to grab a gun and shoot the lady once in both her legs. Witnesses at the scene say that Vasquez was also in the United States illegally from Mexico.
