Bridge reconstruction to narrow I-35 starting Jan. 4

Ponca City Now - December 22, 2015 9:10 am

Interstate 35 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction four miles north of US-60 at Hubbard Road in Kay County and Hubbard Road will be closed to through traffic at I-35 beginning Monday, Jan. 4.

The road narrowing and closing will be for a bridge reconstruction project.

The north and southbound I-35 on and off-ramps at Hubbard Road will remain open during the project, which is expected to be completed in summer 2016.

In May, the Oklahoma Transportation Commission awarded the more than $2.2 million contract for this project to Manhattan Road and Bridge Co. of Tulsa. The contract includes financial incentives for early completion.
