Arts Adventure is bringing a cultural experience to The Ponca Playhouse.

Arts Adventure is a kids summer camp and it offers scholarships for families in need.

To raise money for the scholarship they invite everyone to a concert with Ladies at Play.

Denise Jones, Arts Adventure board president said Ladies at Play, play Celtic and folk music.

“They are from the Oklahoma City, Norman area and they play instruments like fiddle, guitar, mandolin, flute, a lot of instruments that play folk music," Jones said. "I got to hear them last year at the Renaissance Fair, the Medieval Fair in Norman and they were fantastic.”

Local Irish dancer, Susanna Moore will be dancing to their performances.

There will also be a silent auction of artwork donated from some of the teachers of the camp.

Art Adventure camp is the week of July 21 and applications will be out soon.

Jones said they were able to help 34 campers last year because of this event.

“ We usual have around 100 kids at the camp each year," Jones said. "Each year we get more and more request for scholarships. To attend the camp the cost is a registration fee of $40, and then the balance of the camp is $100, so it’s $140 for a week of camp.”

The concert with Ladies at Play is tomorrow at 7.

Tickets are $12 each or two for $20, kids 12 and under are $6.

They can be bought at Brace Books and More, Blackwell, Tonkawa and Ponca City Chamber of Commerce’s or at The Ponca Playhouse.
