Authorities with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics say over 1,000 marijuana plants were seized during an ongoing investigation into an illegal marijuana grow.

On Tuesday, OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Teams served a search warrant in the 600 block of W. Pasture Rd. in McAlester.

“Our investigation determined marijuana was being grown at this location without an OMMA License or an OBN Registration,” said Mark Woodward, OBN Public Information Officer.

During the search, OBN agents seized 1,006 marijuana plants and arrested one person at the property.

Officials say the suspect is facing a charge of aggravated manufacturing of a controlled substance.

Although only one person was arrested during the search, agents say more arrests are possible as the case moves forward.
