Get ready for an evening of music, costumes, and Halloween fun! The PCPS Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras will present their annual Fall/Halloween Concert on Thursday, October 22, in the Ponca City Schools Concert Hall on Overbrook across from the High School.
Under the direction of Paula Cochran, with assistance from Katy Rolf and Dylan Labon, the orchestras and directors will dress in costume for this festive performance. The concert will feature popular favorites, including Ghostbusters, Mamma Mia, and Thriller.
“The orchestra students love this concert,” said Orchestra Director Paula Cochran.
The evening will also feature a costume contest open to audience members! Guests dressed in costume will have the opportunity to walk across the stage of the beautiful Concert Hall, with prizes awarded to the three best costumes of the night.
All ages are welcome, admission is free, and the public is invited to enjoy this fun fall tradition.
Following the concert, the Symphony Orchestra will continue preparing for the OSSAA State String Orchestra Contest on Wednesday, November 18, at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
The Symphony Orchestra’s next Ponca City performance will be its Holiday Concert with the High School Chorale and Symphony Winds on Tuesday, December 8, at 7 p.m. in the Ponca City Schools Concert Hall.
