Northern Oklahoma College is offering a Data Analytics course during the Summer 2026 semester, giving students an opportunity to gain practical skills that are increasingly valuable in today’s workforce.
Dr. Frankie Wood-Black, Chair of the Engineering, Physical Science and Process Technology Division, says “Data Analysts are in high demand. With the growth of AI, and other technical areas, people who understand data fundamentals will have a significant advantage in getting and maintaining jobs. Data Analysts are consistently in the 10 ten growing jobs over the past several years and are needed by a wide variety of careers. This is a great opportunity to enhance your skills no matter where you are in your career.”
The course introduces students to the fundamentals of data analysis, including how to organize, interpret, and communicate information using modern analytical tools. Students will learn how data can be used to identify trends, support decision-making, and solve real-world problems in fields ranging from business and healthcare to technology and public service.
Students in the class will explore topics such as data visualization, data interpretation, and the use of analytics tools that are widely used in professional settings. The course is designed for students interested in business, computer science, marketing, or any field where data plays a role in decision-making.
Summer courses also offer a flexible option for students looking to stay on track with their degree plans or explore new areas of study.
The course is open to current NOC students as well as new students enrolling for the summer semester.
