Two arrested in Skiatook Walmart in connection to trafficking nearly 90 g of fentanyl

Skiatook Police Department confirm the arrest of two people in connection with fentanyl distribution during a wellness check at a Walmart parking lot Sunday morning.

Officials say police received a call close to 9:45 a.m. regarding two people who were unconscious in their car in a Walmart parking lot, to which officers noticed both people inside the car with drug paraphernalia. After resisting officer instructions, both people were taken into custody.

Investigators seized fentanyl contained within multiple packaged units, weighing approximately 89.2 grams.

The evidence has been sent to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation laboratory for further analysis.

The driver assaulted an officer while other police attempted to place them into handcuffs due to their behavior according to authorities.

Both suspects were offered medical evaluations given the state they were found in when officers arrived on scene. They are both in the Osage County Jail.
