Mayra Vega earns Nevona Kegans scholarship

Northern Oklahoma College Athletic Training Student Mayra Vega was awarded the Nevona Kegans Scholarship for the 2018-2019 academic year. Vega is a Physical Education/ Athletic Training major from Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Nevona Kegans scholarship is presented to an athletic training student attending the NOC Tonkawa Campus. Kegans was instrumental in establishing the athletic training program at Northern.  Vega is the second recipient of this award and will receive a $500 scholarship.

Presenting the scholarship certificate to Vega is Dr. Cheryl Evans, NOC President; Suzi Brown, NOC Health, Physical Education, and Recreation division chair and Sheri Snyder, NOC Foundation Executive Director.
