DUI and Multiple Charges for Wrong-Way Driver Including Striking Two Tulsa Police Dept. Vehicles on BA Expressway

The Tulsa Police Department (TPD) released video of the moments when a driver driving the wrong way ran into officers.

According to TPD, on April 28, around 1:00 am, several patrol officers drove westbound on the BA Expressway heading into downtown when colliding with a wrong-way driver in a red Mitsubishi Outlander.

Jasmine Sampson was identified as the wrong-way driver. Police said Sampson hit the front right side of one of the officer’s vehicles before crashing head-on into another officer’s vehicle.

Officials said the officers were not injured or the passengers they were taken downtown.

Sampson showed multiple signs of intoxication, according to TPD.

She was arrested on the following charges:

  • DUI Injury Accident
  • No Insurance
  • Driving the Wrong Way
  • Counterfeit Registration/Title
