METAIRIE, La. (AP) – The New Orleans Zephyrs held Oklahoma City scoreless over the final 8 innings as they avoided a series sweep with a 4-1 victory on Monday afternoon.

Oklahoma City got the early lead off an RBI double by Rob Segedin in the first inning. After that, it was all Zephyrs, with New Orleans tying the game in the third followed by a home run in the fourth by Destin Hood that gave the Zephyrs the lead.

New Orleans starter Justin Nicolino retired 20 of the 24 Oklahoma City batters he faced over his 7 innings in the win. Jo-Jo Reyes notched his third save. Jharel Cotton took his first loss since he returned to Oklahoma City’s starting rotation in late May, allowing four runs and five hits over six innings.
