Wildcat of the Week Is Kennedy Brown

Ponca City Now - December 5, 2019 12:22 pm

Po-Hi Principal Thad Dilbeck, Kennedy Brown, and Superintendent Shelley Arrott.

The Heather Cannon Wildcat of the Week is Po-Hi Sophomore, Kennedy Brown.

“Kennedy is certainly not afraid to try new things and continually strives for improvement,” Superintendent Shelley Arrott said. “When she began her high school career, she decided to become involved in some new activities. She is a second year Po-Hi Stepper and in addition to hi-stepping, Kennedy became involved with cross country and track as a freshman, even though she had never been a runner. Not only has she made an effort to try new activities, she also puts in the extra effort to improve in these activities.

“In addition to staying busy with her extracurricular activities, she also keeps her schoolwork a top priority, is a wonderful friend, and supports her fellow Wildcats in everything they do! Her work ethic is impeccable and even though hard work can be draining, I do not think I have ever seen Kennedy without a beautiful smile on her face. She lights up every room with her positive attitude, and it is a joy to be around her.

“Kennedy, your home and school families are so proud of you and how you conduct yourself in such a positive manner. You do a great job of modeling the Wildcat Way!”

The Wildcat of the Week receives a Wildcat of the Week T-shirt, a Wildcat window sticker, and a coupon for a delicious burger basket from Ground Round. The award is sponsored by TEAM Radio, Heather Cannon Honda, Tyndall Family Dentistry, Ground Round, and Legacy Signs. The award is open to any Ponca City High School student. TEAM Radio makes the final selections and coordinates with school officials for presentations.
