Westbrook wins best male athlete at The ESPYs

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook won best male athlete at The ESPYs Wednesday night.

Westbrook, the NBA MVP, won the trophy over the Chicago Cubs’ Kris Bryant, Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and swimmer Michael Phelps.

Olympic gymnast Simone Biles earned best female athlete.
