WMS gifted and talented students visit Phillips 66.

Gifted and Talented students from West Middle School recently took a field trip to Phillips 66.
Students were able to tour the refinery by drone footage and received a presentation on how the drones work for the refinery by drone operators including safety and infrared technology.
Zack Montague, turnaround manager, also gave students a presentation on the upcoming turnaround scheduled for fall 2023.
GT students also took a tour of the preserved Marland Oil Board Room/Office and a tour of the Moran Dining Hall.
This was a very exclusive opportunity since these are owned by Phillips 66 and not open for public tours.
The field trip was planned by Erin Liberton with Phillips 66 and Aundrea Montague, WMS sixth grade science teacher and STuCO sponsor.
