Veterans’ Day Parade Scheduled for November 4 in Ponca City

Ponca City’s Annual Veterans’ Day Parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 4 at 10:45 am in downtown Ponca City. This years parade honors all veterans and recognizes  the 50th anniversary of the end to the Vietnam War, the 70th anniversary of the end of the Korean War,  and the 75th Anniversary of Women in the Military.
Ponca City was presented with the Military Order of the Purple Heart Special Recognition Award during the Veterans Day Parade in 2021, this recognizes Ponca City as a Purple Heart City for its dedication and support in honoring America’s wounded combat veterans.
A Celebration of Freedom, sponsored by the Ponca City VFW Post #1201, will follow the parade at War Memorial Park, north of Highland between 5th and 7th Streets.
The Celebration includes re-enactors, live bands, Bagpipers, military memorabilia and vehicles, performance painter, corn hole, kid friendly activities, food and fellowship for everyone.
