US-60 Closes at I-35 Near Tonkawa Tuesday For Bridge Work

Eastbound and westbound US-60 will be closed at I-35 (mm 213) near Tonkawa from 7 a.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday for bridge beam installation on the northbound I-35 bridge.

Additionally, the I-35 ramps to US-60 will be closed during this time. Motorists may exit or enter I-35 at Fountain Rd. (mm 211) or Hubbard Rd. (mm 218). This closure is part of an ongoing bridge reconstruction project.

Also, northbound and southbound I-35 remains narrowed to one lane in each direction at US-60.

The nearly $10 million project was awarded by the Oklahoma Transportation Commission to OBC Inc. of Edmond. Work is expected to complete in summer 2023, weather permitting.
