Two die in accident south of Ponca City

Two Ponca City residents died in a collision at 4:09 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 177, just north of County Line Road, six miles south of Ponca City in Kay County.

A 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Candace Cherris Davis, 33, of Ponca City, was northbound and struck a deer, departed the roadway to the left and rolled multiple times.

Davis and a passenger, Brian Antonio Lott, 35, of Ponca City were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene of massive injuries.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
