Two commissioners take oath of office

Municipal Court Judge William Kirkpatrick gives the oath of office to City Commissioners Lanita Chapman and Shasta Scott at Monday’s City Commission meeting.
Chapman has served as a City Commissioner since 2008 and Scott has served as a City Commissioner since 2017. Chapman ran unopposed for Commission Seat No. 1, and Scott ran unopposed for Commission Seat No. 3. Both will assume office for their new terms on Saturday, March 1, 2020.
