The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that Rock School Road at Kennedy Lane, located north of Sand Springs in Osage County, is closed due to power lines across the roadway after several large A-frame poles have snapped.

The roadway was closed at about 6:15am on Sunday morning and remains closed as of 10:00am. Trooper Garrison #730 is on the scene with PSO. There are 8 large transmission line poles that have broken. This is believed to have occurred when the saturated ground could not hold the anchors in place. The transmission line is approximately 80 feet from where it should be and the roadway remains closed at this time. ODOT is on the scene to assist with traffic control.
