Top Two Valedictorians Announced for Po-Hi Senior Class of 2020

The Ponca City Senior High School 2020 Graduating Class is proud to announce their top two Valedictorians, Lindsay Hollis and Lanie Varner. These two students have the highest (weighted), cumulative GPA’s of the senior class, freshmen through the first nine weeks of the second semester of their senior year.

 

Valedictorian Lindsay Hollis is the #1 student in the Class. She is the daughter of Kirk and Kim Hollis and the granddaughter of Patricia Johnson, Jerry Hollis, and Doyle High. Lindsay plans to attend Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas in the fall majoring in biochemistry and pursuing a degree in medical research.

 

Valedictorian Lanie Varner is the #2 student in the Class. Lanie is the daughter of Bart and Jill Varner and the granddaughter of Lynn and Deanna Varner and Gary and Audrey Hendrix. She plans to attend Oklahoma State University to study in the Spears College of Business and be in the President’s Leadership Council.

Superintendent Shelley Arrott said, “I am so proud of Lindsay and Lanie! I am proud of your dedication and resolve, and I admire your ability to face adversity and move forward. You have proven your abilities and are ready for whatever comes your way. Thank you for representing Ponca City Public Schools with such dignity and grace. We cannot wait to see you and honor your legacy on June 26 and 27.”
