Oklahoma State’s run to a Big 12 championship came to a screeching halt Saturday morning against a playoff-hungry Texas Longhorns team.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers threw for 452 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead the Longhorns to their first conference title since 2009. The Cowboys have finished as Big 12 runner-ups two of the past three years following the 49-21 defeat.

Alan Bowman passed for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns while Ollie Gordon had just 34 yards on 13 carries.

Oklahoma State awaits a bowl game matchup and the Longhorns hope to be selected for the College Football Playoffs.
