Texas man seriously injured in Ponca City motorcycle accident

A 49-year-old man from Ingleside, Texas, was injured Wednesday night in a motorcycle accident on U.S. 60 west of Fourth Street just outside Ponca City’s city limits.

Charles Young was driving a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on U.S. 60, hit the center median island, lost countrol and hit the roadway. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the accident happened at 11:03 p.m.

Young was taken by Ponca City EMS to the Ponca City Medical Center and then was transferred by EagleMed to an unknown hospital in severe condition with head, arm and leg injuries.

The Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation of the accident.
