Temporary move of Treasurer’s Office to limit access to unclaimed property

OKLAHOMA CITY — The public will not have in-person access to the Unclaimed Property Division of the State Treasurer’s Office from Thursday, Oct. 12, through Sunday, Oct. 22. The office will operate from a temporary location during that time while electrical wiring is replaced in the State Capitol Building.

Unclaimed property staff will still be working and available via email and telephone. The division can be reached at [email protected] or (405) 521-4273.

As an agency essential to the function of state government — handling daily banking activities including deposits, payments, and investments — the treasurer’s office will continue operations during the shutdown of the Capitol building.

Plans call for the treasurer’s office to reopen in the State Capitol at 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, once the electrical work is complete.
