Newkirk Schools go virtual this week due to COVID-19

Newkirk Public Schools will operate under their home bound virtual education of their Return to Learn Plan this week. NPS currently has 8 employees and students that have tested positive for Covid-19 and approximately 65 contact traced individuals.

Oklahoma gas prices down 1.9 cents per gallon this week

Oklahoma gas prices are down 1.9 cents per gallon this week, averaging $1.85 a gallon. GasBuddy.com says that’s down 56 cents per gallon from the same time last year. As of August 4, the average regular gas price for Ponca City is $1.75 per gallon.
