Kay County Sheriff’s Office assist OHP Wednesday near Kaw City

The Kay County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Wednesday with an oversized load that struck a power line on Coleman Road, approximately 1/2 mile west of Kaw City. Kay Electric later arrived in the area and custokmers did experience power outage. The section of Coleman Road reopened Wednesday evening. No injuries were reported.

OHP Dive Team and Ponca City PD recover vehicle from Lake Ponca

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Dive Team assisted Ponca City PD Wednesday in recovering a vehicle from Lake Ponca. The vehicle was a 2000 Ford Explorer that had been reported stolen out of Ponca City in 2009. Gov. Stitt authorizes OHP and National Guard to provide support
