Newkirk woman killed in icy collision north of Guthrie

A fatality collision occurred at 4:13 a.m. Monday morning on Interstate 35 near mile marker 166 on the Cimarron River Bridge, approximately 7 miles north of Guthrie in Payne County. Newkirk Public Schools will operate under their home bound virtual education of their Return to Learn Plan this week. NPS currently has 8 employees and students that have tested positive for Covid-19 and approximately 65 contact traced individuals.
