Suspect Arrested by PCPD Had Meth and Fentanyl Pills in His Vehicle

On Thursday, May 19th, at approximately 5:37 pm, Ponca City Police Officers responded to Timbers Apartments for a reported domestic with an armed suspect. Before officers arrived, the suspect left southbound on 14th Street in a white SUV.
A short time later, officers spotted the suspect vehicle near Taco Stop on West Grand.
The driver fled and officers lost sight of the vehicle.
Officers located the suspect vehicle again near Osage and South Avenue, and followed it to 7th Street and South Avenue where it turned north. Officers attempted to perform a high-risk traffic stop on the vehicle in that area. The driver sped off and later stopped near 8th Street and Cleveland, where he attempted to flee westbound on foot.
25 year old Zachery Lee Tyler was caught and arrested by officers soon after.
During an inventory of the vehicle no firearms were found, but methamphetamine, marijuana, an aggravated trafficking amount of Fentanyl pills, and $3,700 in U.S. currency were seized, as was the vehicle Tyler was driving.
