State Board of Health calls emergency meeting for tonight

The Oklahoma State Board of Health has called an emergency meeting for 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30 at the State Department of Health in Oklahoma City.

The agenda states the board will hear advice of counsel for the reasons for the emergency meeting. Two agenda items deal with calling an Executive Session. They include:

1. a. To discuss the employment, hiring, appointment, promotion, demotion, disciplining or resignation of the Commissioner of  Health, and

b. The appointment of an interim Commissioner of Health.

2. a. Relating to the employment, hiring, appointment, promotion, demotion, disciplining or resignation of the Commissioner of Health, and

b. The appointment of an interim Commissioner of Health.

The board then will consideration of a motion and vote to return to Open Session to consider, possible action and vote on matters discussed in Executive Session.
