SPD: HUMAN REMAINS RECOVERED, BELIEVED TO BE RELATED TO MISSING STILLWATER TEEN’S DEATH

Stillwater police say that human remains were recovered on Tuesday, and are believed to be related to the case of a missing Stillwater teen.

Stillwater Police Department shared that Teedeenae “Jackson” Yearby was first reported missing in February 2023, he was 17 years old at the time.

On April 17, around 4 p.m. SPD arrested 19-year-old Quinlan Phipps, according to police.

Police say Phipps is currently in Payne County Jail facing a first-degree murder charge.

On Tuesday a “joint operation” of officers and detectives from SPD, OSBI, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and Payne County Sheriff’s Department led to the recovery of human remains, according to SPD.

Police say these remains are believed to be related to the case of Jackson Yearby.

SPD confirmed that the recovered remains had been transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City for positive identification and cause of death.
