Wes Iwundu led a balanced attack with 16 points and Kansas State used a strong first half to defeat Oklahoma 75-64 Saturday. The Sooners, who shot 38 percent in the first half, shot 68 percent — 15 of 22 — in the second and had a late run to get within midway through the half but could get no closer.

Manu Lecomte scored 17 points, Johnathan Motley had 13 and second-ranked Baylor closed in on the school’s first Number 1 ranking with a 61-57 victory against Oklahoma State Saturday night. A rowdy crowd that included new Baylor football coach Matt Rhule in the first row of the student section chanted “Number 1, Number 1” in the final seconds of the Bears’ 11th straight home victory.
