Six Po-Hi students make BPA state finals

The Business Professionals Association (BPA) State Conference was held in Okmulgee at the OSU-IT campus on March 3. A total of 11 Ponca City High School students competed in eight events. Their faculty advisers are Marisa Dye and Troy Buller, Po-Hi BITE (Business Information Technology Education) Instructors.

The Awards Ceremony was scheduled for March 4 at Oral Roberts University. However, due to the snow and ice forecast for March 4, the ceremony was moved up to the evening of March 3. Po-Hi students who distinguished themselves at State in the events were:

· Senior Emily Clark, 4 th place, Management, Marketing, and HR Concepts

· Seniors Emily Clark, Jordan Condon, Avery Jouris, and Dalton Rau, 10 th place, Broadcast News Production Team

· Freshman Kaitlyn Dye, Interview Skills, Finalist

· Freshman Emily Carriere, Prepared Speech, State Qualifier

· Freshman Jeaneth Cardenas, Banking & Finance State
