Senator Pederson to speak at Purple Up! For Military Kids Day at Vance AFB

Sen. Roland Pederson, R-Burlington, is set to celebrate “Purple Up! For Military Kids Day” at the Vance Air Force Base Month of the Military Child cookout on Friday, April 16.

He will speak to those in attendance and present Senate Concurrent Resolution 8, which he authored, that designates April 15 as ‘Purple Up! For Military Kids Day’ in Oklahoma to recognize the sacrifices made by military families and the important role military children play in the armed forces community. The resolution was adopted by the Senate on Thursday morning.

The cookout will take place on Vance Air Force Base at the SAC Playground, building 323, at 4 p.m.
