Second subject in casino incident now in custody

UPDATE: Undersheriff Sean Grigsba reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. Friday that Brent William Burleson was taken into custody at Camp McFadden, about a mile from where Kay County deputies began their search this morning.
Grigsba said the investigation into the initial incident at Osage Casino, as well as the stolen car which Ball and Burleson left abandoned, is continuing.
Kay County Sheriff’s deputies continue their search for one of the suspects in an incident this morning at the Osage Casino, and one man is in custody.
Kay County Undersheriff Sean Grigsba said about 2:15 p.m. that Wyatt Allen Ball, 21, was arrested in connection with this incident and he is being held in the Kay County Detention Center on $400,000 warrants from Ottawa County.
Brent William Burleson, 26, remains at large at this time.
Both men came to this area from the Miami area in Ottawa County, Grigsba said.
Grigsba said the two apparently were involved in an altercation with a father and son at the Osage Casino gas station. The father and son chased them into Kay County, and the suspect vehicle ran out of gas in the 7000 block of Lake Road, Grigsba said.
He said the subjects took off on foot, running northeast into the area of the 1000 block of North Enterprise. Ball was apprehended and the other subject ran into a very thick, wooded and underbrush area.
“Our deputies searched on foot as well as using our K9 officer. When we identified Burleson, we called off the foot search since we had a positive identification, but we left multiple units in the area searching for him,” Grigsba said.
The Undersheriff said the general area in which Burleson was last seen is between Lake Road and Hartford Avenue, and between Enterprise Road and Silverdale. The vehicle the two left on the side of the road was found to be stolen from Anthony, Kansas.
At this time, deputies are continuing their efforts to get more information on Burleson and are pursuing a warrant for his arrest, Grigsba said.
He asked that anyone who knows residents in the area to contact them and advise them to lock their doors and their cars. They should call 911 if they see anything or anyone suspicious, he said.
Burleson is a white man, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoody, baseball cap and light-colored jeans, Grigsba said.
