School district presents Transition Fair tonight

The Ponca City Public School district will sponsor an information and resource fair for families of children with disabilities in partnership with TransitionSpot (Targeted Career Planning and Life Coaching).

The Fair is from 5:30 to 8:30 tonight at the Ponca City High School Commons Area, 927 North Fifth Street.

Agencies involved with the Transition Fair include TransitionSpot, Dale Rogers Training Center, Tech-Now, Goodwill, Oklahoma Developmental Disabilities Council, Easter Seals, Able Tech, Job Corps, and the Opportunity Center.

Community agencies and services will provide information on topics, including

· Community financial supports

· Assistive technology

· Housing & transportation

· Vocational options

· School processes/partnerships

· Self determination

· Legal issues

· Transition services
