Ripley man injured in accident near Fairfax

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports an injury accident occurred at 4:38 a.m. Wednesday at State Highway 20 and State Highway 18, about 3.5 miles south of Fairfax in Osage County.

One passenger in a 1996 Chevrolet truck was injured. Zachary J. Sabus, 32, of Ripley, Oklahoma, was transported by Miller EMS of Fairfax to Stillwater Medical Center. He was admitted in stable condition with head injuries. A second passenger, Danie G. Clark, 21, also of Ripley was not injured.

The Highway Patrol reported it had no information on the driver.

Troopers reported the truck was westbound on State Highway 20 and failed to stop for a stop sign at a "T" intersection at State Highway 18. The truck crossed the roadway and went down an embankment about 40 feet before coming to rest.
