Ricky Rubio standing up to pressure from Westbrook

The Associated Press - April 25, 2018 10:39 am

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Ricky Rubio is not wilting under the pressure from Russell Westbrook, matching – if not outplaying – the reigning league MVP. Rubio is a major reason his Utah Jazz have a 3-1 lead against Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder in their first-round NBA playoff series. Rubio is averaging 18.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8 assists. The Rubio-Westbrook matchup mirrors what is happening throughout the playoffs. Effective point guard play has translated to wins.
