Relay for Life moves to Hutchins Memorial

The relay for life of Kay County will be held on Saturday, May 16, at the Hutchins Memorial Auditorium.

It is moved from the Jack Blevins Motor Cross Track because of expected weather.

Lorinda Hays said the seven-hour event begins at 3 p.m. following the 1 p.m. Survivors lunch. An auction will be at 6:30 p.m. with the luminary around 9 p.m. and the Fight Back ceremony starts at 11:50 p.m. and ends at 1 a.m.

The Curtis More Band, 4 going gravity, and Morrison 33 will provide entertainment through the evening. The 2015 our honorary Chairman this year will be Darla Akers with David Hill named Honorary Caregiver, and a special small powerhouse sharing his own story.

Teams will be doing fundraisers the night of relay with a lot a different activities going on. Walkers do not have to be on a team to participate.
