Recycle those Christmas trees

Ponca City Now - December 30, 2014 8:42 am

Bring new life to your garden by recycling your Christmas tree now that the holiday is over.

Just bring it to the Christmas tree recycling area, across the street from the drop-off Recycling Center located on west Prospect Avenue. The Christmas tree recycling area will be open until Jan. 16.

After the area is closed, the old Christmas trees will be turned into mulch for gardening and landscape usage. The mulch will be available free to the public, and those interested will need to bring their own shovels and containersto move the mulch. The mulch will be available from Jan. 23 until it is gone.

Decorations and lights made your trees pretty in your home, but please remove them all before bringing the trees to the Christmas Tree Recycling area.
