Quinton man drowns in Skiatook Lake after jumping from boat

SKIATOOK, Okla. (AP) – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Quinton man has drowned in Skiatook Lake.
The OHP says 30-year-old Nicolas William Birckel drowned in the lake Friday afternoon. The patrol initially reported that the drowning occurred Saturday.
An OHP report says Birckel jumped from a boat to swim, then went under water and did not resurface.
His body was recovered Saturday morning in about 25 feet of water.
