Program to address agricultural flooding impact

Ponca City Now - June 6, 2019 11:20 am

Recent flooding in Kay County and surrounding areas has burdened agriculture producers with unwanted problems. Producers may be wondering what to do next? What steps can be taken to prepare for the coming months?

Starting at 8 a.m. Thursday, June 13, a Kay County OSU Extension program will go over management practices and resources for agriculture producers impacted by the recent flooding. The program, “Flood Management and Resources for Agriculture Producers,” will be  held at Pioneer Technology Center Room B131, in Ponca City.

West Area Extension Specialists Dana Zook, Josh Bushong and Trent Milacek will speak on Livestock Management, Row Crop Management and Government Resources.

Coffee and donuts will be available at 7:30 a.m. Please RSVP by Wednesday, June 12, to assure adequate supplies. Contact the Kay County OSU Extension at (580) 362-3194, or email [email protected].
