PonCon In Ponca City is for Everyone

This fall, PonCon will be an event with fun for the whole family. From October to November, attendants can expect an animated film screening, a celebration of local creators with the 2022 Micro-fiction and Graphic Novel Contest, Graphic Novel Art Show, a -Geek Garage Sale for everyone to buy or sell, and a CosPlay Runway. Expect a good time and lots of fun around
every corner at PonCon.

Submissions for the contest will be accepted thru October 15, 2022. Competition rules will be available from the
PonCon Facebook page – www.facebook.com/Ponconconvention – , by contacting [email protected], Ponca City
Library or from the listed participating organizations below. Friends of the Library will be offering a $150.00 in prizes, $50.00 to
the winners of three age categories for the Micro-Fiction, and Ponca City Art Association will do the same for the Graphic
Novel. All winners will be announced at noon at the Geek Garage Sale.
For families, the Ponca City Library Library will host a free come-and-go create space on Saturday, October 15 from 9:00 am –
5:00 pm. Supplies such as paper, free photocopies , markers, staplers, etc. will be provided. No editing or technical services
will be provided. Additionally, Ponca City Development Authority will have a sign up sheet for access to high-res printing and
3D editing on a first-come first-serve basis at no charge.
The Ponca City Arts Association-City Arts is presenting Graphic Novel Art Show from November 3 thru 18. Submissions are being accepted now. For more information on this, contact City Arts at 580-765-9746 or [email protected].
The Geek Garage Sale will be Saturday, November 5, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at City Central. Fee will be $10.00 for sellers, which
provides one 6 ft. table with chairs. Set up will be Saturday, November 5 starting at 6:00 am. This will be free for all to attend. To purchase your table, contact Hall of Heroes – 580 765 7437 – or [email protected].
At 1:00 pm the Cos-Play Runway will begin. To participate fill out the registration form at the Geek Garage sale. There are
three age categories including children up to age 12, teens 13 to 18 years of age and adults 19 and older. Participants will be judged on but not limited to, character portrayed, uniqueness of costume, creative use of material and skill level appropriateness, while taking into consideration age of participant.

-PonCon also encourages all in attendance to make some time to go outside and see the local Veterans Day Parade that morning. All are welcome to enjoy the events and see the sights around Ponca City.

“My Hero Academia” Marathon at the Ponca City Library, 515 East Grand starting at 10:00 am with Pocky. Free and open to the  to public. Movies shown will be Two Heros, Heros Rising, and World Heroes’ Mission.
November 3-18:
City Arts Graphic Novel Art Show
