A Ponca City woman died in a collision near Bartlesville Sunday afternoon.

Holly Redmond, 34, of Ponca City was driving a 2001 Dodge Caravan on U.S. Highway 60 about 7 and a half miiles west of Bartlesville. Redmond was pronounced dead of a head injury by Bartlesville EMS at 3:08 p.m. Sunday.

A passenger, Kyle Lindsey, 36, of Ponca City was airlifted by Air Med to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa in critical condition. He was admitted with head injuries.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Redmond was eastbound on U.S. 60 when her vehicle departed the roadway to the right. She overcorrected to the left, crossing the center line and leaving the roadway to the left. Redmond overcorrected again back to the right and the vehicle entered a broad slide, rolling an unknown number of times before coming to rest on its wheels in the south ditch.

Redmond was ejected about 45 feet north and 35 feet west of where the vehicle came to rest, the patrol said.
