Ponca City Resident Injured in Monday’s Crash on North 14th Identified

The Ponca City Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident shortly before 5:00am on Monday, March 20. The accident happened just south of the intersection of 14th Street and Hartford.

Ponca City police report, 20-year-old Lluvia Justyce Convers, of Ponca City was the driver of the vehicle that crashed.

A preliminary investigation has led investigators to believe that the driver of the vehicle, who was transported by helicopter to St. Francis hospital with multiple injury’s, was intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The accident happened when Convers vehicle departed the roadway after hitting a curb. It then rolled multiple times, ejecting the driver and coming to a rest in the yard of a residence.

The driver had two dogs in the vehicle at the time of the crash. One of the dogs did not survive the accident.

This is an ongoing investigation, and although PCPD is committed to keeping our streets safe, they want to use this opportunity to remind all citizens that driving intoxicated is never a good option. The Ponca city Police Department implore each of you to use good judgment and consider the safety of others when operating a vehicle.
