Ponca City RecPlex Offering Safesitter Course

The RecPlex will offer a Safesitter babysitting course. It’s a great opportunity for youth preparing for summer babysitting.
The deadline to enroll in the class is Monday, March 14th.
The class will take place Friday, April 1st from 5:00 PM-7:30 PM & Saturday the 2nd from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.
The class is geared for 6th-8th graders interested in developing skills that will help them be safe and effective sitters.
Each participant receives a handbook and will be trained in 4 key areas: Safety, Child Care, First Aid & Rescue, and Life & Business. The course will be taught by certified instructor Trenee Edmisten.

Youth scholarships are available for those who qualify. Apply in person with a parent or guardian at the RecPlex.
